Why We Need a Playoff

Boise State's position is why we need a playoff. People don't want to give them a shot even if other teams have one loss because they believe Boise would not be able to survive that tough schedule either. But Boise is really good, and they deserve a shot at the title, so we need a playoff format that includes all worthy teams.

It's true, Boise State does not play the kind of schedule Oregon, Oklahoma, Auburn, etc. play, however, time and time against they are proving they can beat these teams on a neutral field. So who is better? How can people say, "do you honestly think Boise State is better than Alabama"? Well, let's see....Boise state beats every team they play so I don't know. I know that all the "experts" say you can look at the recruiting just to see the huge talent discrepancy between Boise and Alabama. But how come Mississippi State just knocked Florida off the ball the ENTIRE game and beat them in Gainesville? Coaching, execution, mental toughness. I agree, if Oregon or Auburn goes undefeated, they deserve to play in the national championship game because they had a tougher road, but in no way am I willing to say they are better than Boise State. That is why we need a playoff.

Just say there was a 4-team playoff with Oregon, Auburn, Boise State, and the winner of TCU/Utah. Wouldn't everyone be happy with that? Now if Boise could beat Oregon or Auburn in the semifinal we would know they deserve to be in the final. And we'd get both AQ and non-AQ teams involved to settle it on the field instead of the ridiculous argument based on nothing but pulling opinions out of the air.
