The Boise State situation is a microcosm of America. What I mean by that is they represent the American dream. If you work hard enough for something, no matter where you came from, you can be a success and make it to the top.
In the United States we take pride in our freedoms and the ability to make our own living however we want because of those freedoms. We know that if we are willing to put in the work, the effort, and sacrifice we can make ourselves into a success regardless of where we started.
Well, Boise State started as a junior college and they've been able to work their way up to Division I-A football, but now they are they are being held down by the system and can't bust out. The college football elite won't let them join them at the royal tables, so they are stuck as an adult at the kids table.
If we really believe in the American dream, if we are going to say that anyone can make it to the top no matter who you are, then let's give Boise State a chance. Now if the senator's son with a Harvard degree asks for a job you give it to him, but if he screws up then fire him and give the hard worker with a state college degree a chance. Boise State is a great team, now let's give them a shot a glory on the gridiron.
